Our homes away from home
Wake Forest operates three University-owned residences where students live and study with Wake Forest faculty: Casa Artom in Venice (left), the Flow House in Vienna (middle), and the Worrell House in London (right).
Among the Wake Forest-administered programs are semester, summer and graduate opportunities. These include programs in London, Venice, Vienna, Salamanca and Dijon.
Explore the world

Alex Saks ('09):
"I studied abroad at Casa Artom in Venice during the spring semester of my sophomore year. ... that semester was one of my best, most memorable and most cherished. The entire four months fostered in me a deeper appreciation of perspective and a stronger sense of independence."

Benn Stancil ('09):
"I studied abroad during two summers, once in London and once in Shanghai. My time in China taught me to appreciate the opportunities Wake Forest has provided for me; my time in London taught me to appreciate things priced in dollars."

Odile Hobeika ('09):
I conducted a research project in the summer of 2006 through the Richter Scholars program. It allowed me to travel to Lebanon during a war to interview women about their lives. It also piqued my research interests about communicative patterns and techniques in the Middle East for graduate school.

Mallory Sullivan ('09):
I spent four months studying in Vienna, Austria. I attended the Conference on European Economic Integration and presented my finance paper on U.S. bank integration into developing nations to graduate classes at the Wirtschaftuniversity Wien. I am now interested in how foreign investments can positively affect developing markets.

Lauren Gaston ('09):
I spent a semester studying abroad in London through the Boston University Program. I could not have asked for a better abroad experience! After studying and working in a city with so much culture and art ... I came back to Wake with a renewed and energized appreciation for the arts!

Evan Raleigh ('09):
I studied abroad in several different countries including England and Honduras. In both instances, I felt privileged to witness up close the lives of others. Traveling abroad molded me into a much more conscientious global citizen and made me more appreciative of life in America.

Patrick Nelli ('09):
I performed research in Sydney, Australia, for a summer, and studied in Barcelona, Spain, for a semester. I took a course on Gaudi architecture in Barcelona that included weekly field trips to various Gaudi works in the city. This type of learning environment cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world.
